What is Manusher Jonno Foundation:
MJF started operation as a project of CARE Bangladesh in July 2002. It is registered with Joint Stock Company and NGOAB in 2006 as a local non profit, non political organization.
Funded by DFID, MJF is an innovative challenge fund vehicle to make grants available to a range of organizations working on Human Rights and Governance in Bangladesh.
Till date MJF has provided funding support to 150 organizations. Committed to address the most marginalized and vulnerable population of Bangladesh, MJF through its partners has brought about positive changes in the lives (directly and indirectly) of 34.73 million people across the country. By extending its support, MJF is contributing towards reducing poverty, preventing human rights violations, improving human security through improved governance.
